Do I have a chance of becoming a professional golf pro?
I am just about to turn 16 years old in about a month. I played golf when I was younger just a few times. Late last fall, I played about 5 rounds, my first game I shot a 126. Now that winters over, I have been practicing minimum 4 hours a day at the course, and am down to a 7 or 8 handicap. So I have improved dramatically in a few months. There is still big room for improvement in my drives, considering I only drive it about 180-200 yards on a good drive, hitting about 50% fairways. My Chipping is great though, and my Putting is my best. From 25 feet away I can make it about half the time. I make everything 10 feet in. If I keep practicing around 6 hours every day, get my driving distance up and drive accuracy better, do I have a chance of becoming a golf pro by lets say my 20′s?
To be a Professional golfer you must have the ability and talent to hit it 290+ yards and hit about 65% of the greens the rest is touch short games flop shots putting course management the list goes on kid!Your not even close id say maybe in ten years you can become a real good player but pro is a stretch. If you get really good in lets say 5 years then go for it save all the money you can because it cost about 50 grand for travel and entry fees. You will need to play mini tours like the nga Hooters tour or the grey goose tour which will cost you like 15 grand to get into tournaments so good luck.
