Looking for new golf clubs, maybe?

I got into golf about 2 years ago and played with a set I assembled from garage sales around the area. I felt like I wanted something better so I got a set of Volante clubs from MC sports about a year ago for my birthday, because the salesman said they would be the best for my price range (which was around $200). I played with them and played with some other peoples clubs and the Volantes didn’t seem to hit as well, and now, a year after purchase, there’s rust running down the shafts. I kept them in my closet all winter so I’d assume it’s just a krappy club. I’ve been shooting around a 100 with the Volantes. I was wondering if it would be worth it to get a better set of clubs or if I should continue to play with the Volantes until I get significantly better. I was looking at older Titleist such as the 735′s (maybe) if I did get some, or if anyone has a better suggestion I’d like to hear it.
Thanks!

Ok first, the 735′s would be way too advanced for you, they are really meant for single digit handicappers, or people that shoot in the 70′s mostly. Now, that being said, it really depends on how much money you want to spend on new clubs.

First, you are not gonna get anywhere if you buy those full sets from crappy sports stores. The shafts are terrible, and so are the clubs, that is why they sell for $200 for 14 clubs. A good set of irons for someone who wants to shoot around 90 should cost somewhere around $400 dollars or so. Yes, ability is important, don’t get me wrong you could have Tiger’s clubs and still shoot 110; however, technology is important as well. If you are serious about trying to get better, go to your local store and see if you can’t find a decent used set of Callaway irons, such as the X16, 18, 20 and so on… Then, I would seriously look for new wedges, such as some used Titleist Vokeys or Cleveland CG 10,11,12, 14… Then you can move onto the woods, but if you want to space that out its fine. I would go to a real golf store, like Golfsmith, PGA superstore, something like that and start searching. The clubs at the sporting goods stores are usually crap, unless otherwise stated.

$106.74

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Prices Missouri Expedition, also known as Prices Raid, was an 1864 Confederate cavalry raid through the states of Missouri and Kansas during the American Civil War. While Confederate Major General Sterling Price enjoyed some successes during this campaign, he was decisively beaten at the Battle of Westport by Maj. Gen. Samuel R. Curtis and subsequently driven back into Arkansas by Union cavalry under Maj. Gen. Alfred Pleasonton. Prices expedition proved to be the final significant Southern operation west of the Mississippi River. Its failure contributed to Abraham Lincolns reelection, and cemented Federal control over the hotlycontested border state of Missouri. After three years of bloody and inconclusive fighting, Confederate authorities were becoming desperate as the U.S. presidential election approached in the fall of 1864. Although the fortunes of war had largely favored the South prior to 1863, events since that time were starting to swing the Unions way. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Prices Candles, founded in 1830, is a United Kingdom manufacturer and retailer of candles. Its full name is Prices Patent Candles Ltd. The firm is headquartered in Bedford and holds the Royal Warrant for the supply of candles. It is now the largest candle manufacturer in the UK. They hold an important place in the technological history of candle making. Prices Candles was founded by William Wilson in 1830, and originally consisted of a candle factory at Vauxhall, London and a crushing mill upstream at Battersea, York Road. Palm trees from West Africa were used for their palm oil, and George Wilson used sulphuric acid to remove the brown colour. Limited dockside facilities at Battersea caused the factory to be moved to Liverpool. In 1840 there were 84 staff, and by 1855, 2,300. By 1900 it was the largest manufacturer of candles in the world. In 1919 the company was bought by Lever Brothers Ltd. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Originally published in 1919, A Century Of Prices outlines the central controlling principles of business and finance in the straightforward fashion of one businessman talking to another. Property and Prices

Property and Prices

$65.33

Property and Prices shows arbitrage and speculation in the stockmarket to be a capitalist economys most fundamental mechanism of price determination and resource allocation. Once a stockmarket is incorporated into generalequilibrium theory, the classical analysis of value (a la Ricardo, Marx and Sraffa) and the neoclassical theory of price (descending from Walras, Hicks and ArrowDebreu) can be seen to possess the same mathematical structure. The modern theory of arbitrage pricing in financial markets thus is capable of bringing together the two great rival schools of economic thought.
