Should i go to college down south?

I live in Wisconsin and currently looking at colleges. I absolutely hate the winter up here and during it, keep telling myself that I will go to college someplace warm. In the Summer and Fall that changes and I wouldn’t mind being in the midwest. The key reason why I wouldnt want to go down south is bc I dont want to get homesick. Do you believe it is easy to get homesick by going far away for college? I have a 3.5 unweighted GPA and participate in golf and a few clubs. Are there any good colleges you can think of that would accept me (thinking about pre pharmacy)?
