Just before I shutdown my computer, a small window, resembling a DOS window closes down, is it spyware? virus?
A couple days ago I noticed that everything I do seems to be lagging ever so slightly, I cleaned out my old files, defragged, and still no change. Then I began to notice that my computer would pause for a second before I shut down, and would close a window, all black, that was not there, at least visibly, while the computer was on. It resembles a DOS window one would open to program something.
I ran AVG as well as Ad-Aware, and neither of them came up with any malicious software, and to the best of my knowledge, none of my personal info has been tampered with or stolen, but it is still a big concern.
I have a Vaio VGC-LT23E, run Windows Vista, and use an AVG firewall
Any help?
its probily just the dos (cmd) shutdown window running a command like
SHUTDOWN /f nothing to be worryed about

Clean Coal $106.74 Clean coal is a term most often used by the media in news stories that reference carbon capture and storage/sequestration (CCS). The phrase clean coal is also referred to as cleaner coal in an attempt to mitigate criticism. These technologies are in development and aim to reduce CO2 at coal fired power plants in order to mitigate climate change. Scientific consensus on climate change is that it is caused by human activities, which increase production of CO2 and other greenhouse gases. Carbon capture and storage is intended to reduce emissions from coalfired power generation, which is one of the greatest sources of global warming pollution contributing more emissions than all automobiles in the United States. There is no agreement across groups as to when CCS will be available on a commercial scale. Industry leaders emphasize that the technology should be available by 2020. Meanwhile, others question its feasibility in that time frame.
