Who funds PGA golf tournament purse money?
Do the Majors (The Masters, US Open, etc) fund their own prizes from ticket, food, and merchandise sales, or does the money come from the Pga Tour? Are the payouts for the other tournaments provided by the sponsors (ie. Buick Invitational)?
All different organizations. Sponsors mainly like Cadillac gives roughly about 700 grand every tourney they Spenser. Fed Ex pays 10′s of millions of dollars for the year. People pay ticket prices. etc….
