Learning to play golf, what kind of clubs should I get?
I’m a beginner. I’m below a beginner, below a n00b. I know nothing about golf yet I have an great interest in it. I’m learning to play golf, but I don’t know what clubs to get, plus I don’t even understand what the clubs mean.
I’m a beginner too. But, I went out and got a cheap set of Dunlap’s ($160). In short, the longer the club (driver, 3-wood, 5-wood, 3-iron, etc.) the farther the ball should go. The distance and accuracy is up to you. The only book on golf I ever read, and it helped me a lot, was the “KISS Guide to Playing Golf”. Don’t by a lot of videos!!!! Just get a cheap starter set of clubs, go to the Driving Range, and practice. The driving range is where you’ll see what each club truly is about. Just have fun and don’t take golf, or yourself playing golf too seriously.
