golf mk3 remote central locking kit?
i am fitting a remote central locking kit to my mk3 golf that already has central locking. I cant figure out how to fit the two new wires from the new unit onto the central locking switch.
There are three wires on the switch. A common (supply) a lock and an unlock.
Dont understand how i am supposed to do it. I have fitted the two wires both on the common (and cutting it between them) as the instructions suggest but no remote activity.
There is power to the unit as it is happily clicking away when buttons on the remote are pushed.
Any ideas? Would appreciate help as the door car is off and car has been de-locked as other locks had broken.
Is your system oem if not there lye’s the problem VW do not readily except after market parts unless made or endorsed by VW as a collector for 10 yrs. I wish I could explain this but I myself have found no explanation.
