How can i adjust my flow binding easier?
So I bought Flow Flite 3 bindings for the ease because i go with skiiers and i do adapted skiing. When i was on the slopes for the first time with them i couldnt get them to feel good for the life of me. I can get the strap tight enough that it cuts my circulation off and i can get my foreward lean so far that i almost fall over but i cant keep my heel from coming up. When i’m boarding (especially on the flats) i feel like i’m just using the balls of my feet and my toes whereas my old bindings i could use my whole foot and some calf. I have problems with my calves and cant use them a lot so i need help with keeping my binding tight and secure on my foot. If anyone could tell me what i need to do to keep my heel from coming up PLEASE help. Can i use a velcro strap to keep my ankle on the back? is there an adjustment?
First make sure that you are using the right size flows. Using XL flows on small boots will cause problems no matter how you try to adjust them.
On the cuff of your flows there are four straps that you can adjust the length of. You should make sure that they are not too tight which could prevent your boot from fitting all the way under the cuff. A good amount of your toes should be visible if you have your boots in all the way.
Finally, as has been said, the shape of your boot just might not be right for flows. Some boots just work better than others. I used to wear a pair of Burton Moto’s with mine and they worked fine.
